Fields of Mistria Sprinklers, or Water Sprite Statues, are irrigation systems that automatically water crops. Having several strategically placed sprinklers removes manual labor and leaves you more free time for other chores. Unfortunately, these clever machines become available in the late game after learning the Dragon’s Breath spell.
How to Unlock and Use Fields of Mistria Sprinklers
You can find and learn the Fields of Mistria Water Sprite Statue blueprint after completing the Breaking the Fire Seal story quest. To unlock this quest, you must reach The Mines level 60 and find several items:
- Faceted Rock Gem. Found with Archaeology in The Deep Earth.
- Rockroot. Found with Foraging in The Deep Earth.
- Emerald. Found with Mining or Slaying in The Deep Earth.
- Sealing Scroll. Obtained by completing the Procuring the Sealing Scroll story quest.
At the end of the Breaking the Fire Seal quest, you unlock the Dragon’s Breath spell, which allows you to obtain the Fields of Mistria Sprinkler recipe. The quest also unlocks Caldarus as a marriage candidate.
How to Find the Water Sprite Statue Recipe
Once you have learned the Dragon’s Breath spell, make your way to The Beach and swim to the upper right corner to reach the beach cave door.

Cast the Dragon’s Breath spell toward the door to open it. Enter the small cave and loot the chest to collect a Water Sprite Statue and the automation recipe.

Although Fields of Mistria Sprinklers come in several forms, they all have the same functionality: to automatically water the crops in a two tile radius. Each Water Sprite Statue requires three materials:
- Refined Stone x 10.
- Essence x 50.
- Ash Mushroom/Purple Mushroom/Temple Flower/Sea Grapes/Thorn Vine x 3.
The last material depends on the sprinkler design. Choose whatever variant you like. The differences are purely aesthetic. Craft and place water statues between crops to automatically water them. Sprinklers consume Essence Stones as fuel. Larger stones keep the statue running for longer. Don’t forget to interact with the Water Sprite Statue to see when you need to refuel it with Essence Stones. Water Sprite Statues stop working when it rains, so they will not consume Essence Stones on rainy days. When removing a sprinkler, you will get back the remaining Essence Stones.
