Echoes of Aincrad Mods are community-created game modifications that alter and tweak the original gameplay. In less than two weeks since the game’s release, passionate players have already come up with mods that entirely change the game. If you’re curious about what mods can do for your SAO Echoes of Aincrad experience, here are a couple of options worth checking out!
Echoes of Aincrad Mods for Quality-Of-Life and Gameplay Conversion

These mods add small QoL improvements or transform the game into something almost entirely different.
The Aincrad Open World mod transforms both Echoes of Aincrad floors into open-world areas, allowing you to freely explore the regions without entering a quest instance. The mod adds Free Roam mode for Floor 1 and Floor 2, accessible from the quest terminal. The entire map, along with enemies, treasure chests, and other points of interest are available with no loading screens to break the immersion.
SAO Auto Loot is a quality-of-life mod that automatically picks up items within 10 meters. The mod scans the nearby area for loot, items, and gathering nodes. The items do not directly go into your inventory. You’ll have to go through this process manually. SAO Auto Loot and Aincrad Open World share the same creator, so make sure to check their other Echoes of Aincrad mods as well.
If you’re tired of companions recounting your every action, Companions Be Quiet is the Echoes of Aincrad mod that will silence them. They will no longer react when you stumble over a chest, spot an enemy, or find items. Your character’s dialogue and companions’ combat audio are left untouched.
Kirito Battle Healing adds passive HP regeneration. Similar to Kirito’s healing ability from the SAO anime, your character will automatically regain health after exiting combat. The regeneration rate is customizable. This mod does not work in combat.
The No Character Fade mod deactivates the transparency effect. Characters will no longer fade when the camera zooms in.
Combat and Performance Mods

These Echoes of Aincrad mods focus on making the game’s parry system feel more responsive. Together, they make the combat significantly more forgiving and fluid.
The Auto Reversal Slash mod automatically activates Reversal Slash whenever the game detects a valid parry opportunity (the blue circle prompt). When a blue circle pops up, the Auto Reversal Slash Echoes of Aincrad Mod performs the Reversal Slash skill. Some of the parry opportunities are easy to miss, so get this mod if you are having trouble with this action.
The Parry Window Mod lets you increase or decrease the Just Guard timing window. The parry window is set to 1 second by default, but you can modify the duration by manually editing the file.
The Mouse Acceleration Fix mod fixes the game’s default mouse acceleration/smoothing. As a result, the camera movement is more linear and predictable.
