Fields of Mistria Legendary Fish are special fish that can only be caught in specific weather conditions after unlocking the Legendary Fishing Tier 3 perk. There are four seasonal Legendary Fish. Each one has a Legendary spot in the Museum Fish Wing. Catching them all requires patience.
How to Get All Four Fields of Mistria Legendary Fish
First things first, you must get level 30 Fishing. Once Tier 3 Fishing is unlocked, buy the Legendary Fishing perk for 80 Essence. All you have to do now is wait for the “A legendary fish is nearby” message at the beginning of a new day. This notification lets you know that all proper conditions are met and a Legendary Fish is swimming somewhere in the waters around you. The fish is now a guaranteed spawn, but how soon you catch it depends on luck. The fishing rod’s quality does not matter any more than when catching normal fish. Advanced rods are useful, but you don’t need one to get the special catch.
Where to Find the Four Legendary Fish
After you get the message notifying you that a Legendary Fish is available, you must find its location. Pay attention to the fish’s shadow and the body of water it spawns in, so you know what to look for and where.

If you didn’t get the fish at a certain location, try to reset the area rather than moving to another fishing spot. Leave the area by entering a location and return to reset it. This strategy seems to work better than visiting multiple fishing locations when searching for Fields of Mistria Legendary Fish.
Another thing to keep in mind is that these fish cannot be caught with the Fish Trap. The Lucky Haul perk does not work with these fish. You cannot get multiple legendary fish in a day using the School Crasher perk. You can only carry one Legendary Fish at a time. If you happen to get another, the one in your inventory will be removed.
