Servant Of The Lake Secret Ending Guide

The Servant of the Lake Secret Ending, or the post-game content, challenges you to find out what happened to Kate’s brother. Once you board the carriage at the end of the game and read Kate’s letter, you realize that the Vanderboom estate has one more secret to uncover, and you have one more achievement to earn. The You’ve Found Him achievement will unlock after you witness the secret ending.

How to Unlock the Servant of the Lake Secret Ending and the You’ve Found Him Achievement

Kate’s letter instructs you to review the last three days’ memories and search for clues regarding her brother’s disappearance. To unlock the secret ending and the You’ve Found Him achievement, you must replay certain chapters, starting with Waking Up Aldous in the Morning of Day 1, as hinted in the clue “The crow awakens at five past four”. As you revisit each chapter, you uncover clues telling you which chapter to replay next and what to look for.

You can restart each chapter using the Notebook!

Step 1: Day 1 Morning – Waking Up Aldous

Interact with the Toy Soldier next to the Alarm Clock, then click the Clock Hand the soldier is holding to collect it. Then, interact with the Alarm Clock and set the time to 4:05, using the soldier’s Clock Hand.

Read the note mentioning what happened while Alexandra was bathing. There’s nothing else you can do in this chapter. Use the Notebook to navigate to the next one.

Step 2: Day 2 Evening – Helping with Bathing

Click the bathroom wall behind the bathtub and then click the following tiles in this order:

Bathtub tile.
Suitcase tile.
Hand tile.
Woman tile.

The Alarm Clock note mentions these words in this same order!

A tile will drop, revealing another note. Take a look at the symbols next to the maze. You’ve already seen them when helping with alchemy.

Secret Ending Step 3: Day 3 Morning – Assisting with Alchemy

Click on the Wooden Box and take a look at the symbols.

Then, open the note you got on Day 2 Evening and look at the maze. This is the first challenging Servant of the Lake Secret Ending puzzle. Starting from the middle, you can find a way out by going this way:

Click on the Wooden Box and click the left and right arrows, following the maze escape pattern:

Click the right arrow three times.

Open the note and take a look at the symbols and the date. It’s time to check out the Attic!

Servant of the Lake Secret Ending Step 4: Day 1 Night – Searching the Attic

Click the Box on the floor and take a look at the Building, Circle, and Water symbols.

The note you found has nine symbols that can be arranged in three categories:

Building category: castle, arch, and two windows – 4 items.
Circle category: two moons – 2 items.
Water category: boat, fish, water droplet – 3 items.

Select these constellations to solve the puzzle:

Building – constellation with four dots.
Circle – constellation with two dots.
Water – constellation with three dots.

Read the note and look at the symbols, haven’t you already seen them when solving the Servant of the Lake Wine Box puzzle?

Step 5: Day 3 Evening – Dressing up for Dinner

Go to the cellar and click the Wine Box puzzle. Arrange the pieces to align with the symbols from the previous note.

Open the box and collect another clue note, mentioning three colors. Click the wine bottles and arrange them according to the clues:

The Bronze bottle goes above the spiral symbol.
The Silver bottle goes above the snake symbol.
The Gold bottle goes above the triangle with a horizontal line symbol.

The lid of the top barrel will fall. Keep clicking the barrel until you find yourself in a room. Click the red cloth to reveal a note.

Step 6: The Final Servant of the Lake Secret Ending Puzzle and You’ve Found Him Achievement

For the final puzzle, you must work out the four-digit code that opens the Green Box. The clues are in the note that dropped from the red cloth:

The first digit is 6. The X symbols refer to the code in the letter to Alexandra from the Helping with Bathing chapter on Day 2. The code is 92681373. The space after the first two X symbols means that the first Green Box code digit is the third digit in the code from the letter.
The second digit is 2. The second symbol, the window, refers to the puzzle in the Preparing Coffee chapter on Day 2. The window in the note is the same as the top window, which is associated with the digit 2.
The third digit is 9. The third symbol, the eye, refers to the puzzle in the Going Hunting chapter on Day 2. The eye is associated with the Roman numeral IX (9).
The fourth digit is 4. The fourth symbol refers to the puzzle in the Assisting with Alchemy chapter on Day 3. The symbol corresponds to the digit 4.

Open the Green Box using the code 6294 and collect the Telescope. Remember the note you got after solving the constellation puzzle? Kate’s brother mentioned that Alexandra took him to some ruins. Exit the cellar, click the door on the right, then left, and then the window.
