The Moonlight Peaks Moonlight Ball is a seasonal event held on the 20th Night of Summer. Once a year, the townsfolk put on their best clothes and gather in the Town Hall Garden to celebrate summer and, well…themselves. The gala is all about community and friendship. The invitation you receive a day before from Saga promises a magical night. Although the Moonlight Ball sounds like a blast, in truth, the event is quite dull and, sadly, buggy.
What to Do During the Moonlight Peaks Moonlight Ball
Saga meets you in person to start the Moonlight Ball event. The celebration kicks in after a short cutscene. If you’re expecting mini-games and competitions, such as the Moonlight Peaks Evernight and Moonlight Peaks MasterSoup activities, the Moonlight Ball will leave you disappointed. Other than wandering around and talking to the attendees, there’s nothing else to do during the event.
Given that everyone in town is at the ball, you can see it as an opportunity to give Moonlight Peaks gifts in bulk and get more hearts with your romantic partners.
How to Trigger The Moonlight Gala Pair Event
The Gala Pair is the main event of the Moonlight Peaks Moonlight Ball. The best-dressed couple will win the crowns you saw on the table behind Saga during the opening cutscene. If you win, you take home the crown, which you can wear or sell for 9000 coins. Unfortunately, this is where the event gets buggy. Although the Moonlight Peaks update 1.1.45 fixed the issue with the crowning ceremony taking too long to begin, some players are still reporting this bug. If the ceremony doesn’t start after a few minutes, leave the event area and return. Talk to Saga and tell her you are ready to start the Moonlight Gala Pair ceremony.

Players are reporting different starting hours. It seems that the ceremony doesn’t have a fixed starting time. Saga goes on stage to announce the winning pair. The Moon Goddess will then place the crowns on the winners’ heads.

The winning criteria are unknown. You might get paired with someone you are not even dating and win the crown. You might win even if you are not dating anyone. An NPC pair might win as well. Some players speculate that you get paired with the last person who received a gift from you, but for others the pairing was random. In conclusion, the Moonlight Ball is a rather uneventful event that feels rushed and underused.
