The Moonlight Peaks Muse Tree is a magical tree that grows under specific conditions. The game doesn’t tell you what you must do to make the Muse Tree grow, and the only clue is easy to miss. The seeds won’t even produce saplings unless they have some inspiration. You will need a Gramophone to grow and harvest Muse Nuts.
How to Plant Moonlight Peaks Muse Tree Seeds and Harvest Muse Nuts
Just like with any other crop, you must first buy Muse Tree Seeds from Luna’s Seed Stand. Purchase the seeds for 6000 coins apiece, but don’t plant them until you get a Gramophone. Check out the Howling Hammer shop until you can buy the Gramophone. Ridge’s shop has randomized daily inventory, so the Gramophone availability depends on your luck.

How to Use the Gramophone to Grow a Muse Tree
Plant the Muse Tree Seed anywhere on regular ground – you don’t have to create a crop spot with the shovel – on the farm. You also don’t have to water them. What you have to do is place a Gramophone one space away from the Muse Tree Seed. Similar to Moonlight Peaks Happy Mandrakes, the Muse Seeds don’t appreciate crowds. They won’t develop past a sprout if you place the Gramophone right next to the seed.
Turn on the Gramophone each night to play a tune. The seeds will appreciate the music and start growing. You can tell it’s working when the seeds start swinging to the music.
It takes 25 in-game days to grow a Moonlight Peaks Muse Tree. The tree produces fruit, Muse Nuts, during the spring and winter. Once harvested, the Muse Nuts regrow after seven days. To harvest the Nuts, interact with the tree and the fruits will go directly into your inventory.
